Welcome to the Residence Community Ranking Form!
The Residence Community Ranking Form is the first step in the housing application process for the University of Waterloo.
Before you can choose your room type, building, or roommates,
we will ask you to rank our 4 residence communities in order of preference.
Our residence communities include Campus Housing (formerly known as Waterloo Residences)
and the University Colleges (St. Jerome’s, St. Paul’s, and Renison).
In mid-June, you will be notified by email about which residence community
(Campus Housing or one of the University Colleges) you have been assigned.
Your residence community will then invite you to share your preferences including buildings,
room-types, roommates, and meal plans. These preferences will be taken into consideration when
creating your room assignment. Room assignments are released by email throughout the summer,
so be sure to set up your Waterloo email address early and check frequently.
Please note that residence offerings and programs may be impacted by changes to public health guidelines.
We will provide updates on any changes to our residence offerings or policies as they develop.
